Wastelands Roamer
A steampunk-style post-apocalypse autonomous personal transport. Or so :)
The motivation behind this model was to put in application a cool wheel concept from Yoshihito Isogawa, to which I added steering. The half-wheels actually work like full ones, but give a "walking" feel to the vehicle.
The mid-section steering gives it a tight turning angle. The pump-like apparatus at the back is set in motion when the vehicle moves. Same with the propeller at the back, which doesn't start & stop hard but rather progressively, because it's driven by friction. Finally, you can put in a minifig in the front if you like, there's a seat.
Aesthetic design isn't really my strength, so it might look a bit messy, but I find it's fun to drive around because of its unique design.
